CoCo Inspired SoMos Retreat

Our Coco-themed family retreats are one of my favorite weeks to host.

The movie Coco took so much inspiration from Oaxaca, from the colors to the traditions and during this week we will show you the Oaxaca that you’ve come to love through the movie.

We will of course begin your stay with a viewing of the film to get us all in the mood and refresh our memories!

Our excursion will take you to visit artisans who make alebrijes (wooden spirit animals) as well as seeing the waist loom weavers and to see the cempasuchil fields in bloom. You will even find out what your unique spirit animals are!

Your street food tour will include stops to try favorites like tamales, flor de calabaza and some Muertos foods too!

We will take you all on a treasure hunt in the Benito Juarez market to search for items found in Oaxaca at this magical time of year.

There will be daily nanny care and meals prepared by our wonderful chef using the freshest local ingredients and showcasing some seasonable delights.

CoCo weeks are a colorful, creative and very special way to experience Oaxaca as a family.
