Embrace Growth, for within it lies the key to unlocking your true potential
May 21-26 2023 (with optional relax days either side)
On this 5 day journey you will be guided through the steps necessary to make your parenting dream a reality.
Your mind will be nurtured during guided workshops, take nature walks etc…
Your body will be pampered during a traditional Zapotecan fertility massage, an authentic temazcal ceremony and through eating fertility enhancing, locally sourced foods.
Your heart will be given the tools it needs to empower you through what is not always a straightforward journey.
We will teach you how to advocate for yourself within the medical realm. Give you tools to help you select the right donor for you. We will discuss common recipient parent worries such as how to talk to others (and your child) about their origin story.
We will talk about diet and foods that you can eat instead of those that you can’t. We’re also going to tell you how important the pelvic floor is pre and post conception!
You will receive a private session with both Tania & Kae to go over any of your individual concerns and receive our undivided attention.
About Us...
Tania
Hi, I’m Tania. I’m an intentionally solo mother of 2 donor conceived children. My journey to Motherhood was not a smooth one. I took a long time to grieve the loss of Plan A. I navigated infertility and the huge financial strain involved in that. I also overcame the extreme fear I had about doing this alone. Finally realizing that the biggest obstacle to my happiness was myself. Since 2020 I have been helping other future SMC/SPC navigate their paths to parenthood through group programs and one on one mentoring. Last year I started to run Family Style Retreats for Solo Parents and their children. This year I’m combining both those passions in the “Path to Parenthood” Retreat. This 5 day event will leave you feeling empowered, informed and 100% capable of embracing the future parent in you.
Kae
Hi there. I'm Kae. I'm a solo parent-by-choice, member of the LGBTQIA+ community and a Mom to one known-donor-conceived, four-year-old, Greyson. My path to parenthood was filled with many obstacles, in navigating systems of care in the United States as a marginalized person and struggling emotionally, mentally and financially to access the appropriate resources and support for my unique TTC journey; I spent countless hours stressed and lonely. In retrospect, had i received the care and community I needed at this crucial time in my life been offered to me, I would have been able to navigate my TTC journey with more clarity, peace and enjoyment. Since 2020 I've been engaging with and facilitating spaces for other (LGBTQIA+) solo-parents-by-choice on any part of their family-building journey as an Expressive Therapist. The Expressive Arts Therapies are an evidence-based, creativity-focused approach to restoring mental health. When I'm not focusing my energy on creating these much needed spaces for those of us on the unique journey of solo parenthood, I love spending time with my child, editing my first book, and spending time in nature.
